On September 21, 2006 our organization launched one of the biggest changes in our history - we changed our brand name from Washoe Med to Renown Health. 

Although our name served us well for the past 140 years, research showed that the Washoe Med name didn't support our organization's actual capabilities of providing our community with skill, expertise and technology. 

Renown Health is a name that suggests a rebirth, a revival and a true renaissance for this health network.  Our community is growing. It's changing. And this extraordinary healthcare network is evolving right along with it. Our focus is to both aniticipate and address our region's every emerging healthcare need. It is this commitment that will forever drive us to improve our capabilities and services as we care for you and the people you love.
