In 2008, Renown was the first to bring the da Vinci System to northern Nevada for physician-assisted robotic surgery. Now, our dedication to skill, expertise and technology allows us to provide a world-class institute for patients and surgeons in Reno and the surrounding region.

da Vinci® Heart Services The da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System provides patients with one of the most effective, least invasive treatment alternatives for complex cardiothoracic procedures (surgical treatment of diseases affecting organs inside the chest) such as mitral valve repair.

In the News Renown Performs Prostate Surgery by Robot 06/12/2008: Robert Long was the first man in Reno to have a radical prostatectomy using the da Vinci Robotic Surgical Suite. Three weeks after his surgery Robert returned to work, and six weeks after surgery he went scuba diving.
