Introduction to Medical Acupuncture
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 and 5:30pm $40 - Cash only, no insurance.
Medical Acupuncture is acupuncture performed by a doctor trained and licensed in conventional Western medicine who also has extensive training in acupuncture and Eastern Medicine philosophies. Howard Chen, MD offers group treatments for those with musculoskeletal pain and injuries, or for those just looking for some balance and relaxation. The treatment is performed in chairs with 6-8 people in the same room. Dr. Chen only uses acupuncture points along the lower arms and legs, head, ears, feet and shoulders during group treatment. Patients can expect to sit for 30-45 minutes and are welcome to bring headphones to play music while the needles are maintained. Wearing loose fitting clothing so the doctor can easily access acupuncture points is recommended. Group acupuncture is a great way to maintain your health while keeping the costs down.
