As the region's only level II trauma center and a leader in cardiac care for more than 30 years, Renown Health has the region's first Chest Pain Center using the D-SPECT heart camera to detect heart attacks faster. The Chest Pain Center is accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers and  follows a set of guidelines to help physicians identify the early stages of a heart attack, which might otherwise go undiagnosed.

More than five million Americans visit hospitals each year with chest pain which is a symptom of a heart attack. Other symptoms include:

• Pain or discomfort in one or both arms or in the neck, jaw or shoulder blades
• Cold sweat
• Dizziness
• Nausea
