When faced with a medical emergency, you want the best care as quickly as possible.

Renown South Meadows Medical Center provides south Reno's only 24-hour emergency room. Located just off US-395, in the heart of Double Diamond, we make it easy to get in and get care quickly.

When you arrive at the ER, you will be seen by the triage nurse who determines the priority of your care.  At times, multiple patients arrive at the same time.  Patients with more serious problems are seen first, which can increase your wait.  Other situations that can affect ER wait times may include:

• when a specialist needs to be contacted
• when our staff needs to speak to your physician
• ordering x-rays or special tests

If, while in the waiting room your condition worsens, please see the triage nurse immediately.  Feel free to check with our staff about your questions or your wait time.  If you choose not to wait, we ask you notify one of our staff before leaving.
