$1 or more per Blizzard Treat will be contributed to Children's Miracle Network
RENO, Nev. (July 22, 2010) - Support the lives of children in the community by participating in Dairy Queen's Miracle Treat Day, set for Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010. Participating Dairy Queen (DQ) restaurants donate the entire sales, minus COGs, of blizzard treats in support In support of Children's Miracle Network at Renown (CMN).
Since 1984 DQ has raised $81 million dollars to help save and improve the lives of children. All money raised at local DQ locations will stay in the Truckee Meadows community to help fund state-of-the-art equipment and provide support for pediatric services and education programs at Renown Children's Hospital.
"Dairy Queen has been a tremendous supporter of CMN," said Kiemmy Boc, Renown Children's Miracle Network coordinator. "The Dairy Queen restaurants in northern Nevada have helped raise money through collecting change, selling paper miracle balloons and holding special events like Miracle Treat Day. Their efforts make a genuine difference to the lives of the kids at Renown Children's Hospital."
Participating DQ restaurants in the region include:
1501 Prater Way, Sparks
10390 North McCarran Blvd. , Reno
3198 Us Hwy 50 E, Carson City
1750 Us Hwy 395, Minden
The Children's Miracle Network mission is to generate funds and awareness programs for the benefit of children served by its associated hospitals, such as Renown Children's Hospital. In northern Nevada, Renown Children's Hospital is the only hospital associated with Children's Miracle Network. Children's Miracle Network at Renown supports important programs to keep children healthy and, for those sick or injured, ensures the best quality medical care possible.
