Many of the drug therapies and advanced technologies
available to us today would not be possible without research conducted at
healthcare organizations like Renown. New treatments for cancer, stroke and a
myriad of other conditions have been approved for our use because of clinical
trial research at leading hospitals.
Over 100 studies are now in progress at Renown. The majority of our studies
are related to the treatment of cancer. We are also doing important work in the
neurosciences, including treatment of stroke, as well as cardiology, pediatrics,
nursing and much more. Learn more about our current studies here.
Clinical Trial Participation
This creates opportunities for members of our community to participate as
research subjects. Although every study is not right for every volunteer and
studies have specific eligibility requirements, those who participate have the
satisfaction of knowing they are helping others by contributing to medical
research and, in some cases, receive additional benefits, including access to
treatments before they become available to the general public. Many protections
are in place to ensure the safety of clinical trial participants. To find our if
participation in a clinical trial may be right for you visit Becoming a Research Volunteer.
