Renown Health's Chief Human Resource Officer Recognized by Ragan Communications Among Top Women in HR and Wellness

Michelle Sanchez-Bickley was identified as the healthcare industry's only HR leader to receive this prestigious honor.
Renown Health proudly announced today that its Chief Human Resource Officer, Michelle Sanchez-Bickley, MS, SPHR, SHRM-SCP was recognized by Ragan Communications and Workplace Wellness Insider for her leadership and innovation in human resources.
Sanchez-Bickley joins an impressive list of more than 30 influential women around the nation selected as Ragan’s 2020 Top Women in HR Awards honorees, which recognizes female leaders who cultivate work environments where talent and business can thrive. For nearly 19 years, Sanchez-Bickley has lead a wide range of improvements in employee recruitment at Renown. She implemented a chatbot to make it easier to connect qualified candidates to the recruitment team, and also established a new-hire pipeline with a nursing assistant apprenticeship program.
Understanding the ultimate value of employee benefits, Sanchez-Bickley has identified many unique enhancements, including on-site career and rewards counseling sessions to maximize retention. She’s also made significant improvements to Renown’s employee assistance program, which offers employees and their families seamless connection to resources, support and guidance for nearly any life event.
With a bachelor's degree in political science and justice studies from Frostburg State University in Maryland, Sanchez-Bickley earned her master's degree in human resource development from Georgia State University. She is a certified senior professional in human resources (SPHR) and holds a Senior Professional Human Resources Credential (SHRMSCP).
In U.S. News and World Report Best Hospital rankings, Renown South Meadows Medical Center was listed #1 in the State of Nevada. Renown Regional Medical Center was named #2 Best Hospital in Nevada. A hospital's score is based on multiple data categories, including patient outcomes, safety and volumes. Hospitals earning a high performing rating were significantly better than the national average.
