CEO Blog: Community Partnerships for Better Health
August 31, 2017
Renown Health President and CEO Tony Slonim, MD, DrPH, explains the importance of forming community partnerships to benefit the health of all.
Our environment and community play a large role in shaping our health. In order for hospitals and health systems to most effectively improve their patients’ health, it is essential to find ways to extend their reach outside of their organizations.
At Renown Health, we believe it is important to form partnerships with local organizations to address the root causes of chronic disease. We develop partnerships in areas such as healthcare and wellness services, education, personal development and nutrition for at-risk and low-income populations. The focus of these strategic partnerships may differ, but each one enables us to prevent illness and broaden our impact from the level of the individual to the population. Working together with local organizations also allows us to bring together multiple perspectives and skill sets to more accurately assess and respond to community needs.
Renown Health’s dedication to engaging with our community will help to ensure we will all live healthy lives. Click here to learn of the other ways that Renown Health is giving back to the community with the latest news from our community.
