Position Purpose:

Under the general direction of the FNS Leadership, this position maybe responsible and accountable for planning and leading staff to assume accountability for decisions and actions of cost-effective customer care Patient Services in accordance with organizational goals.  This position is also responsible for tray line and consistent delivery of quality service to patients in a timely manner.  The incumbent may also provide maintenance and replenishment of Nursing Nutrition Supply Rooms on a scheduled base.

Nature and Scope:

This position is accountable for ensuring that the tray line, dietary aides and staff are maintaining a professional, quality image that helps Renown Health portray a positive image in community and makes Renown Health a more advantageous place to be.


Depending on department, incumbent may be responsible for any or a combination of the following: The major challenges to this position include:  adjust/schedules for all FNS staff members, to maintain an efficient operation; monitor policies, procedures and practices for sanitation and safety.  Review and assist in development of policies and procedures for the Food and Nutrition when necessary.  Develop and maintain necessary patient and financial reports and records. Plan organizes and evaluates staff development with the assistance of Food and Nutrition Leadership team. Work to increase patient satisfaction through maintaining staff skills and update training as needed. Promote effective inter and intra departmental communication and patient/customer relations. Maintain and Manage online floor stock program.


The incumbent has the authority to make routine decisions related to day-to-day tasks, but must escalate to Food and Nutrition Leadership any unusual problem that does not follow established guidelines.  Incumbent will be responsible for patient rounding to establish patient satisfaction and perform service recovery as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred


Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.


Two years of Nutrition classes or three years experience in an Industrial Dietary department is preferred. . 





Computer / Typing:

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
