About Your Stay
Your treatment team is here to support you every step of the way.

Treatment Sessions and Length of Stay
Your length of stay is based on your individual needs and the goals set by you and your treatment team.
Patients have been known to stay as little as three days while others require a month or more.

Criteria for Admission
Patients must meet criteria for admission as assessed by the Rehabilitation Hospital team and approved by a physiatrist — a physician specializing in physical rehabilitation medicine.
We treat patients who:
- Are over the age of 18
- Are not dependent on a ventilator
- Have a community discharge plan
- Cooperate with treatment
Transitioning Home
Your discharge plan is developed and implemented the day you arrive with a thorough assessment by your treatment team to determine your needs for a safe return home. It takes significant planning to create an optimal and comfortable discharge plan, and we encourage you and your family to actively participate in this process.
Your family's involvement and feedback are important aspects of success at home, as most of our patient's will still require, at least for a short while, some supervision or assistance from family upon their return home.
Discharge Criteria
Your doctor and healthcare team will help determine when and if you are ready to return home or proceed to the next level of care. They will set discharge criteria, which will help guide your healthcare team in the decision.
