Local philanthropist and businessman, Tom Dolan, has made a major donation to Renown Health Pulmonary Rehabilitation in celebration of #GivingTuesday, which is Tuesday, Dec. 3. The funding will support new equipment, which will increase rehab class sizes and improve treatment. Additionally, the donation will add a respiratory specialist and much needed services to support the patient population requiring specialty lung care in our community.
Tom thrives in our community with incurable lung disease and pulmonary fibrosis. His experience has shed light on the healthcare needs in our community for those who require specialty lung care.
A vision of Renown Health Pulmonary Rehab is to create a survivorship program, where graduates of the Pulmonary Rehab Program can have access to the exercise equipment for the continuation of their health journey. Exercise is crucial for these graduates and this environment provides a safe, non-judgmental place to work out with oxygen or other mobile medical equipment. #GivingTuesday is a global movement to encourage charitable giving and on Tuesday, Dec. 3, we encourage you to show support for Renown Pulmonary Rehabilitation by donating to the Renown Health Foundation.
As the community's only not-for-profit hospital, Renown relies on charitable support and partnerships from our community to provide services like the region's only children's hospital, specialty care and others.
