Health and Wellness Therapies

Our providers consider best practices from around the world when determining the right care for you. In addition to modern Western Medicine practices, they prescribe supplemental therapies to encourage positive lifestyle changes and offer nutrition recommendations. This allows you to take a proactive approach in improving your health and prioritizing preventive care. Therapies may include practices that patients can be trained to do on their own and therapies provided by licensed practitioners, such as:

  • Acupuncture
  • Mindful movement and chair yoga
  • Meditation
  • Food as medicine

Establishing with Integrative Primary Care

Upon selecting one of our Integrative Primary Care providers, you will be invited to a 45-minute informational orientation that will introduce you to the practice. Should you wish to proceed with establishing care, you will be asked to sign a participation agreement that demonstrates your commitment to your health and wellness. In addition, you will pay a $44 per visit fee that is separate from your co-pay, co-insurance and deductible.

Our board-certified Integrative Medicine providers will partner with you to develop your plan of care and help you find the best combination of integrative therapies for your individualized needs. These providers also have advanced training in areas such as medical acupuncture, osteopathic medicine, sports medicine and palliative care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Participation Fee?
The participation fee constitutes payment for health and wellness therapies not covered by patient's medical insurance, including Medicare plans. The $44 per visit, non-refundable fee, paid at each primary care visit, is separate from participant's co-pay, co-insurance and deductible, and covers only therapies not covered by medical insurance, including Medicare.

Why is there a Participation Fee?
The participation fee is necessary to allow for incorporation of on-site complementary therapies into your plan of care. The fee also allows for a smaller patient panel for each provider. A smaller patient panel provides the opportunity for extended office visits and more in-depth conversations with your healthcare team.

Do I Still Need Health Insurance?
Yes. This program does not take the place of general health insurance coverage. Insurance companies will be billed directly and the standard co-pay will apply.

Does the Participation Fee Cover Other Medical Expenses?
For medical services such as office visits, lab services or imaging services, insurance companies will continue to be billed directly and the standard co-pay or co-insurance will apply.

Can I Opt Out at a Later Date?
You will have the ability to terminate the participation agreement at any time. If you find that Integrative Primary Care is not for you, we will be happy to assist your search for another primary care provider.
