Conditions & Treatments

Sleep disorders refer to any difficulties a person may experience related to sleep. Common disorders include sleep apnea/obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, Cheyne-Stokes Respiration, insomnia, narcolepsy and parasomnias.

However, more than 100 different disorders of sleeping and waking have been identified.

Our sleep experts utilize state-of-the-art equipment in a specialized Sleep Center to diagnose and treat people with sleep disorders. Treatments we offer include CPAP, oxygen cannula, surgery, oral appliances and behavioral therapy.

Sleep Disorder Tests

During your first visit, our doctors and staff will conduct an interview to determine if tests are necessary. Tests that we administer include:

  • Sleep Studies
  • CPAP Titration Sleep Studies
  • Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
  • Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
  • At Home Sleep Apnea Screening Study
  • Overnight Oximetry

Our Sleep Center

Sleep studies (also called polysomnograms) are extremely valuable for diagnosing and treating many sleep disorders, including sleep breathing disorders such as sleep apnea, movement disorders, and neurological disorders.

As the region's largest AASM accredited facility, our Sleep Center provides comfortable, private rooms for your sleep study. While you sleep, we monitor your heart rate, body movements, brain activity, breathing, eye movements, and other physiologic functions. The procedure is neither painful nor invasive and does not prevent getting a regular night's sleep.

During your follow-up visit to the Sleep Center, a doctor will discuss your tests results. A full report of the findings and recommendations will be sent to your primary care provider. Our staff will remain available for the long-term management of your diagnosis, if necessary.
