Katie Restifo: Clinical Research Associate

Katie received her bachelor’s degrees in Strategic Communication and Law & Policy from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2019. She has a diverse professional work history with experience in pharmaceutical policy, grant-funding, project coordination & implementation, data management, and clinical research. Katie joined Renown Health as an intern in the Radiology Department in April 2019, and from there transitioned into a Project Coordinator role in the outpatient setting at the Women’s Health and Pregnancy Center. In November 2020, she joined the Pediatric Oncology team as a Clinical Research Associate working on a number of Children’s Oncology Group studies. Katie recently finished coursework to become a licensed phlebotomy technician, and is passionate about helping children and their families understand the clinical trials process. In her free time, Katie enjoys hiking and camping all across the western United States.

 

Megan La Rue: Clinical Research Coordinator

Megan received her Bachelor of Science in Community Health Sciences with a special focus in Public Health from the University of Nevada, Reno. During her Master’s programs she received ample research experience with a research assistant job at the Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health studying medication assisted treatment. She also piloted many qualitative studies of her own during her Master’s program. In May 2021, she received her Master of Public Health, focused in Community and Behavioral Health and Global Health. Megan’s compassion for helping others has taken her all over the world, including Viet Nam, Taiwan, China, and India. In her new role as a Clinical Research Coordinator she enjoys being on the forefront of science and connecting with patients in the Oncology department. Hobbies include traveling, hiking, spending time with her dogs, and trying unique foods from around the world.

 

Amil Trujillo-King – Clinical Research Coordinator

Amil is an International Medical graduate from Peru, a Certified Coding Specialist, currently working in Oncology research. Amil sees research as a way to impact personal and group’s lives with new medical information that can improve their well- being. I love to listen music and spend time with family playing board games.

 

Jeff Webb: Clinical Research Coordinator

Jeff has four years of research experience, with involvement ranging from academic and preclinical to clinical phases. He has worked as a clinical research coordinator doing device and drug trials in a few different specialties, including neuroscience, cardiac, and immunological. He enjoys being at the forefront of science and technology, and being a Clinical Research Coordinator allows him the opportunity to bring them to the people that they can help most. He is excited for his new role as Clinical Research Coordinator in the Oncology Pod. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Nevada Reno. He is also a qualified Phlebotomist. Outside of work, when he is not spending time with his kids, Jeff is an aspiring programmer and hopes to combine his two passions and work with brain-computer interfaces.
