Available tests include: Comprehensive Metabolic Panel and Lipid Profile, tests for 14 different measurements including cholesterol, HDL, LDL, ratio and triglycerides - fasting is required, $35. Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test for prostate cancer, $40. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) test to evaluate thyroid function, $40. Thyroid Profile (TSH, T4, Free T4), $75. Blood typing to identify the specific antigens that determine blood type and Rh factor, $30. Complete Blood Count (CBC) determines number of platelets, red and white blood cells, checks for anemia, leukemia, and problems with blood clotting, $20. Glycohemoglobin (Hemoglobin A1C), used most frequently to assess blood sugar control in diabetics, $30. Vitamin D 25 Hydroxy, to identify a possible deficiency in Vitamin D, $45. C-Reactive Protein may be helpful in assessing risk of developing heart disease, $30.

The Aging Brain: The Causes and Treatments of Memory Loss
As we age, maintaining memory and mental function is just as important as keeping physically active and healthy. Attend a free lecture featuring Larry Walker, PhD, of Renown Behavioral Health, to learn about the medical conditions that can cause memory loss, medications and more. Dr. Walker will focus on:
- Normal memory defined
- Memory processing and the three stages of memory
- The difference between forgetting and memory loss
- How is memory loss tested
- Treatments for memory loss including alternative therapies
Dr. Walker will also discuss the seven symptoms of memory loss you should know.

Dr. Walker is a psychologist at Renown Behavioral Health. He received a bachelors of science from Pennsylvania State University – State College, PA; a Master of Science in Counseling from Shippensburg University, Shippensburg, PA; and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from International College, Los Angeles, CA. He also has post-graduate training in neuropsychology from the University of Pennsylvania, PA.
Learn How to Manage Chronic Pain on May 21
Learn how your pain can be evaluated and managed to get relief—whether you’re suffering from headache, back ache or lower limb pain. Michael Salas, MD, Physiatry & Pain Management Specialist at Renown Health, will provide his medical expertise by reviewing the many and varied pain treatment options now available. His lecture will cover both alternative therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractic and massage to more traditional physical and occupational therapies, as well as home exercise programs. You will leave with valuable information to manage and cope with your pain.
Arthritis is the Topic of Luncheon Lecture on May 28
Pain, stiffness and swelling are classic symptoms of arthritis. Did you know that there are more than 100 types of arthritis include rheumatoid arthritis and gout?
Malin Prupas, rheumatologist with Renown Medical Group, will discuss the causes, diagnosis and latest treatment options of arthritis during a luncheon lecture.
Now on Wednesdays – Senior Facial Day
This introductory rejuvenating 50 minute facial uses anti aging peptides and anti oxidants to hydrate the skin while visibly tightening and smoothing fine wrinkles.
