Advancing Medical and Nursing Education in Nevada
The Office of Academic Affairs supports Renown Health’s academic mission by connecting University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, the Orvis School of Nursing at the University of Nevada, Reno and other academic institutions with clinical instruction opportunities within our health network.
Our team fosters academic excellence by supporting various key areas, including:
- Providing resources for general academic-related questions
- Serving learners with an emphasis on graduate and post-graduate medical education programs such as physician residency, medical students, physician assistant students, nurse practitioner students, visitors and more
- Coordinating clinical learning opportunities
- Ensuring accreditation and affiliation compliance pertaining to academic activities
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs
- Supporting faculty appointment activities
- Overseeing student access credentialling

Renown Health is proud of its clinical affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. This decades-long partnership was enhanced in 2021 with the signing of a 50-year affiliation agreement. Together, we are giving Nevada its first fully integrated health system.
