Roman Catholic Mass
- 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM
- Renown Regional Medical Center – Spiritual Center
- Free
Presiding: Father Joseph Infante, St. Therese Church of the Little Flower Estelle J. Kelsey Interfaith Sanctuary – Spiritual Center ◦ Renown Regional Medical Center This service is currently being offered on the first Friday of each month from 1:30-2:00 p.m., in English only. For Catholics, the Mass is a memorial of Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection. It is a sacrifice of thanksgiving to God, a blessing by which the Church expresses its gratitude to God for all God’s beneficence. In the Mass, the bread and wine become the “Body and Blood of Christ” — food for the body and the soul. By celebrating the Holy Eucharist on the first Friday of the month, the Catholic Community offers a blessing to remind Catholics of God’s continual and abiding presence in sickness, health, joy and pain. “God is always with us. God comes to be with us, and we come to be with God in the Holy Mass. God meets us where we are, and God is present in the bread and wine, in the scripture we read and hear, and in the community gathered together. Through the Holy Mass, we become one body, one family, one community. First Friday devotion aims to honor and recognize the Sacred Heart of Jesus, whose love of humanity is rich, genuine, holy, and everlasting.” – Fr. Joseph Joining the Service: You are now able to attend in-person and no RSVP is required to attend.
