This support group provides support, education, networking, and resource materials to caregivers coping with a loved one diagnosed with cancer. In effort to provide the most supportive atmosphere for those caring for loved one dealing with cancer, this group is for current cancer caregivers only. If you have lost a loved one to cancer, there are these groups available for support: Grief Support Groups in Reno If you have cancer, Renown offers the following support groups: Cancer Support Group Men’s Prostate Cancer Support Group Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer Orientation Class Lymphedema Education & Risk Reduction Class *Virtual attendance is available. Please join us for Renown Health’s free one-hour class for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) education! Our goal is to give you the knowledge to better manage your COPD by increasing your understanding of the disease process, medications and how to use them and creating an action plan you can use every day. This program is offered every: Second Tuesday of the month from 4pm – 5pm in Renown Health Pulmonary Rehabilitation classroom The last Thursday of the month from 4pm – 5pm in the Renown Rehabilitation Hospital classroom A link to the virtual meeting will be sent 1 day before the class via email.

1 Ticket per Person (please include children in your total count) Join us on a tour led by a childbirth educator to learn more about our luxurious Baby and Family Suites, labor and delivery rooms housed in the new Labor Assessment Area, and the William N. Pennington Nursery. We’ll cover the pre-admission process, how to check in, and what to expect during your visit. There is no cost to attend! The perfect place to start if you’re thinking about babysitting! After completion, you’ll have all the skills necessary to keep young children safe in case of an emergency and how to interview for a babysitting job. Designed for ages 11-15, this class will teach you how to change diapers, understand crib safety, bottle feeding basics, pediatric first aid, Infant/Child CPR, child development, and more. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion, not a traditional CPR card. Please pack a lunch, water & snacks or you can eat at our Sierra Café or Starbucks.
