In the Sibling Preparation class, children discover the significance of their new role as a big brother or big sister. They will engage in fun, interactive activities to help prepare for the arrival of the new baby. Through hands-on practice with baby dolls, children will learn essential skills like diapering, swaddling, understanding how babies communicate, and important safety tips. one parent is required to stay. The course covers are range of helpful topics: We’re Having a Baby (story time) What Do Babies Eat Meeting the Baby Bringing Baby Home Being a Super Sibling Super Sibling Fun! Ticket includes partner. This class will include breastfeeding benefits and techniques, the physiology of making milk, positioning and latch, how to know baby is getting enough milk, keeping up your milk supply, where to go for help, learn about our lactation consultants and breastfeeding forums. Pump rentals and a visit to our Lactation Connection resource center are also included in this class. Partners are encouraged to attend. A 30 minute lunch break is included in this class. This support group provides support, education, networking, and resource materials to caregivers coping with a loved one diagnosed with cancer. In effort to provide the most supportive atmosphere for those caring for loved one dealing with cancer, this group is for current cancer caregivers only.
