With Renown Health Prayer Partners Every Friday ◦ 9:30 – 9:45 AM Estelle J. Kelsey Interfaith Sanctuary ◦ Renown Regional Medical Center Facilitated by: Spiritual Care Team The importance of your prayers and reflections for those in need cannot be overemphasized. We continue to send out prayer requests from patients and family as they are received by email to the Renown Health Prayer Partners. Every Friday, the Spiritual Care team leads a brief devotional for prayers and intercessions for those who have requested support. All the prayer partners are invited to participate! While we use the word “prayer” for the custom of interceding on behalf of others for their health, please know that participation is not restricted to any one faith or tradition or to any one manner or method. Each person, according to their own personal belief or practice, may be part of the process of sharing words and thoughts as they ask for healing. Prayer, mediation, reflection, contemplation, recitation, chanting, reading — these and more – are all ways to intercede. Joining Prayer Service: If you would like to join these prayer services, no RSVP is required to attend, please click: https://bit.ly/3oT97EP Requesting a prayer or intercession: If you’d like to request a prayer be sent out on behalf of any patient, friend, family member or for anyone else in the community in need, please know that you are welcome to do so. Roman Catholic Virtual Mass
- 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM
- Renown Virtual Class Only
- Free
For Catholics, the Mass is a memorial of Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection. It is a sacrifice of thanksgiving to God, a blessing by which the Church expresses its gratitude to God for all God’s beneficence. In the Mass, the bread and wine become the “Body and Blood of Christ” — food for the body and the soul. By celebrating the Holy Eucharist on the first Friday of the month, the Catholic Community offers a blessing to remind Catholics of God’s continual and abiding presence in sickness, health, joy and pain. “God is always with us. God comes to be with us, and we come to be with God in the Holy Mass. God meets us where we are, and God is present in the bread and wine, in the scripture we read and hear, and in the community gathered together. Through the Holy Mass, we become one body, one family, one community. First Friday devotion aims to honor and recognize the Sacred Heart of Jesus, whose love of humanity is rich, genuine, holy, and everlasting.” – Fr. Joseph This service is currently being offered on the first Friday of each month from 1:30-2:00 p.m., in English only. No RSVP is required to attend. To join please click: https://bit.ly/2XVmYMB If you do not have a computer, join us by calling 775-325-5409 and when prompted, type in the conference ID: 624 914 147#
