Job Summary: Are you passionate about shaping the minds and hearts of young children? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Teacher. Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Facilitator: Plan, develop, and implement age-appropriate and engaging curriculum activities that foster the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of children. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, materials, and resources to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  2. Classroom Manager: Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Establish daily routines, and provide clear expectations to facilitate a structured and organized learning atmosphere.
  3. Collaborative Partner: Work closely with parents or guardians to build strong partnerships, encouraging communication to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for supporting each child's learning journey.
  4. Compassionate Caregiver: Foster a nurturing and caring environment where children feel loved, supported, and valued.
  5. Creative Facilitator: Stimulate children's creativity and imagination through various activities such as art, music, storytelling, and dramatic play. Encourage self-expression, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, allowing children to explore and discover the world around them.
  6. Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and cooperative working environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to connect with both children, their families, and colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles, early learning theories, and age-appropriate teaching practices.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and execute lessons and activities.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines for early childhood education.

Minimum Qualifications

Description
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Requires the ability to obtain 24 Nevada Registry Approved care training hours per licensing year, with a minimum of 21 child development hours to be obtained upon hire as per Department of Social Services requirements.
Applicants with an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a CDA are preferred.
Experience:
Requires six months of verifiable experience as a teacher/caregiver in a program related to the care of children less than 5 years of age.
License(s):
Ability to obtain sheriff's card or memo of eligibility from the State of Nevada within 90 days of hire

Certification(s):
AHA-CPR and First Aid within 90 days of employment.
The position is required to obtain 24 Nevada Registry approved childcare training hours per licensing year and 22 new hire training hours within first 90 days of employment
TB skin test or chest X-ray as required.
Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
