Renown Health and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are Nevada's first integrated academic health system and currently hiring a full time Rehab Hospitalist.
As the main teaching hospital, physicians foster the teaching of Residents and medical students from The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Working with an established Research Department provides support to coordinate clinical trials.
The Rehab Hospitalist will be a dedicated Hospitalist at Renown Acute Rehabilitation Hospital and act as a Consultant, assisting in patient follow up and observation, under dedicated inpatient Physiatrists. Physiatrists are the primary providers in the hospital. Patients are typically transferred from Renown Regional having been treated for stroke, brain aneurisms, TBI, spinal or hip fractures. The Hospitalist will report through the Director of Acute Rehab Hospital.
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified IM Hospitalist and have completed an accredited 3 year Residency program.
