All parents have unique postpartum and recovery experiences after birth. This 2-hour class helps prepare the birthing person and their partner for what to expect after birth and in the weeks that follow. It is offered every other month and welcomes parents and their support partners.
Topics covered in this class include:
• Postpartum care in the hospital
• Physical and emotional changes after birth
• Self-care during the postpartum period
• Understanding the difference between postpartum blues and postpartum depression
• Warning signs to watch for
• Adjusting to life once you get home
• Support for new partners and caregivers
