Renown Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation is here to help those with Parkinson’s Disease and their families/ caregivers. At this month’s Parkinson’s Power Hour, we will provide information about adaptive equipment, walkers, and wheelchairs, and techniques that can improve walking and posture. In addition, we will provide community resources, an exercise component, and free balance screenings.

This FREE virtual seminar is open to all patients, family members, friends and caregivers. The types of bariatric surgeries Renown offers along with the risks and benefits of each. Updated success statistics of bariatric surgery, resolution and/or improvement of diabetes and other medical problems. How you can expect to progress through the process and standard medical management following surgery. Lifestyle and nutritional changes needed to be successful. Information about our surgeons performing Weight Loss Surgery at Renown Regional Medical Center. Video enabled attendance is available. Class fee includes partner. This class helps prepare parents for emergencies that may occur in baby’s first year. Along with car seat safety and basic baby proofing, discussion will include prevention and treatment of common injuries. Students will also learn and practice the skills necessary to perform infant CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), as well as the skills necessary to assist a choking infant. The American Heart Association Family & Friends “Infant CPR and Choking” (birth to one year) course is for those who want to learn Infant CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. Grandparents and other caregivers are welcome to attend.
