We’ll guide you through everything you need to know about pregnancy, childbirth, and caring for your newborn. In this 4-week class, you’ll learn how to prepare your body and mind for labor and delivery. Once a week, we’ll talk about what to expect during childbirth, ways to stay calm and in control, and tips for making the experience as smooth as possible. You’ll also learn how to care for your newborn, including feeding, diapering, and soothing your baby. But that’s not all—we’ll also dive into the basics of parenting. From understanding your baby’s needs to building a strong bond with them, this class will help you feel more confident and ready to take on your new role as a mom. No matter where you are, you can join us from the comfort of your home. With videos, activities, and real-time support, this class is here to help you every step of the way. Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students will learn safety skill, childcare skills, first aid and rescue skills, life and business skills, and CPR. Each participant will receive a handbook and a certificate of completion, not a traditional CPR card.
