Registration is required for this event as space is limited. Join us for a farm tour, tasting, and a discussion about the health benefits of starting your own garden. You will also have the opportunity to bring home your own starter plant. Notes: Be prepared to spend some time outdoors. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and wear closed-toed shoes. Snacks and water will be provided. Parking: Across from the farm on the corner of Gould St. and E. 2nd St. The support group is open to everyone looking for more information on heart health.

This class is for anyone who has undergone or is undergoing breast cancer treatment and will focus on lymphedema education and reducing the risk of its occurrence. During the class, we will review the basic anatomy of the lymphatic system and define common procedures performed during the treatment course for breast cancer that affects lymphatics. Risk reduction strategies, including compression sleeves, will be reviewed in addition to the typical presentation of early lymphedema. Finally, a brief description of Axillary Web Syndrome will also be reviewed, and basic stretches/exercises to implement if cording is present.

Class fee includes partner. This class is designed for expectant parents to gain knowledge on current research and recommendations, which promote necessary infant health, wellness and safety. Parents-to-be will learn how to care for their newborn, including bathing, diapering, cord care, signs of illness, nutrition, feeding, infant safety, understanding newborn behavior along with growth and development. To attend, please register using the expecting mother’s name and information.
