Ticket includes partner. This class is designed for expectant parents to gain knowledge on current research and recommendations, which promote necessary infant health, wellness and safety. Parents-to-be will learn how to care for their newborn, including bathing, diapering, cord care, signs of illness, nutrition, feeding, infant safety, understanding newborn behavior along with growth and development. Renown Institute for Heart & Vascular Health proudly offers the free Cardiovascular Support Group. Please join us if you or anyone you know has been diagnosed with cardiovascular issues. Meet and get to know the Cardiovascular Quality Team from the Renown Institute for Heart & Vascular Health on the second Tuesday of every month from 2-3 p.m. This group is open to all cardiovascular patients and their families. Learn about managing and living with cardiovascular issues in a supportive group environment. Virtual attendees will receive instructions on how to join the meeting the day before the event. Complimentary refreshments and informative materials will be provided!

All women have different postpartum and recovery experiences after giving birth. This 2-hour class helps prepare mom and partner on what to expect after birth and the weeks to follow, and is offered every other month and is open to mothers and their partners. A few topics discussed in this class are: Postpartum care in the hospital Changes after birth Caring for yourself during postpartum The difference between postpartum blues and postpartum depression Mother’s warning signs Adjustments once you get home The new father or partner Please note: There is a waiting list for this class. It is important for grandparents to learn the new recommendations for care, based on research from doctors and scientists studying the physical and emotional development of infants and children. Taught by certified Safe Sitter® Instructors, participants will learn how to provide the best and safest care for their grandchildren. They will also learn the latest information on how to safely care for infants and children, how to manage the behavior of children of all ages, and essential life-saving skills such as choking rescue, first aid, CPR, and injury management. Additionally, learning tips on creating a good relationship from the start and how to respond to frequent babysitting requests will help grandparents enhance their relationship with their children and create lasting memories with their grandchildren.
