Ticket includes partner. This class is designed for expectant parents to gain knowledge on current research and recommendations, which promote necessary infant health, wellness and safety. Parents-to-be will learn how to care for their newborn, including bathing, diapering, cord care, signs of illness, nutrition, feeding, infant safety, understanding newborn behavior along with growth and development. To attend, please register using the expecting mother’s name and information. Ticket includes partner. The Spinning Babies Parent Class is designed for expecting moms after the 20th week of pregnancy. This class highlights rotating the baby down and out of the pelvis. Turning (spinning) is referred to as fetal rotation and descent. During labor, the baby must rotate and descend through the three levels of the pelvis to be born. Without this movement on the baby’s part, vaginal birth is not possible. Spinning Babies Parent Class provides: Four hours of instruction and practical application Essential daily activities to give you greater ease in pregnancy and help give baby space to move and settle into the correct birth position. Balance techniques to prepare and maintain your body in a balanced, supple, and flexible condition for birth. Birth positions specific to the three levels of the pelvis as solutions when labor doesn’t move forward in a typical pattern. The day of class requirements- Support person required (significant other, friend, mom etc.) Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a large exercise/yoga ball (65-75cm) ALREADY INFLATED, two pillows (bed pillows okay), and a large towel or yoga mat. Class fee includes partner. All women have different postpartum and recovery experiences after giving birth. This 2-hour class helps prepare mom and partner on what to expect after birth and the weeks to follow, and is offered every other month and is open to mothers and their partners. This class is for anyone who has undergone or is undergoing breast cancer treatment and will focus on lymphedema education and reducing the risk of its occurrence. During the class, we will review the basic anatomy of the lymphatic system and define common procedures performed during the treatment course for breast cancer that affects lymphatics. Risk reduction strategies, including compression sleeves, will be reviewed in addition to the typical presentation of early lymphedema. Finally, a brief description of Axillary Web Syndrome will also be reviewed, and basic stretches/exercises to implement if cording is present.

Class fee includes partner. This 5-week childbirth preparation meets for five consecutive weeks, preparing mom and her partner for the many aspects of childbirth and beyond. This class allows you a forum to ask questions and help you make informed decisions regarding your baby’s birth. Topics include: Healthy developments in your pregnancy Stages of labor Warning signs Breathing and relaxation techniques Comfort measures Role of the support person and labor support Birth planning How to tell when you are in labor Pain relief options during labor/medical procedures How a birth doula can help Cesarean birth Postpartum adjustments Please note: This class does not include a Baby and Family Suites Tour. All of our instructors are certified educators who will offer you support and guidance through education in a very unique way that will meet your individual needs.
