Joint pain can affect all aspects of life, so if you’re considering total joint replacement surgery, these classes taught by the experts at Renown Health will help you with the following: Understand your procedure, including basic anatomy and explanation of surgical intervention. Prepare for surgery, including home setup, preoperative and pre-admit appointments. Know about your hospital stay, including infection prevention, early mobility, physical and occupational therapy, and adaptive equipment. Learn what happens after surgery, including recovery, medical management, post-operative therapy and exercises, to help you return to normal activities. We highly encourage you to bring a “surgery buddy” for support.

Please join us for Renown Health’s free one-hour class for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) education! Our goal is to give you the knowledge to better manage your COPD by increasing your understanding of the disease process, medications and how to use them and creating an action plan you can use every day. This program is offered every: Second Tuesday of the month from 4pm – 5pm in Renown Health Pulmonary Rehabilitation classroom The last Thursday of the month from 4pm – 5pm in the Renown Rehabilitation Hospital classroom A link to the virtual meeting will be sent 1 day before the class via email.

Class fee includes partner. All women have different postpartum and recovery experiences after giving birth. This 2-hour class helps prepare mom and partner on what to expect after birth and the weeks to follow, and is offered every other month and is open to mothers and their partners. Facilitated by a prostate cancer survivor, this no-cost support group is designed to help men cope with prostate cancer by offering education and support for patients during their cancer journey. Details: Both in-person and virtual groups are available.  Video-enabled attendance is available for all attendees.  Patients can access remotely and join from any video-enabled device (smartphone, iPad, laptop, or webcam/desktop).  Upon registering, you will receive instructions on how to connect virtually.  Groups will be held every first and third Monday of each month, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Sierra Tower – Conference Room 103 at Renown Regional Hospital.  Please note: You can renew registrations every calendar year.
