Prepare for surgery, including home setup, preoperative and pre-admit appointments. Know about your hospital stay, including infection prevention, early mobility, physical and occupational therapy, and adaptive equipment. Learn what happens after surgery, including recovery, medical management, post-operative therapy and exercises, to help you return to normal activities. The perfect place to start if you’re thinking about babysitting! After completion, you’ll have all the skills necessary to keep young children safe in case of an emergency and how to interview for a babysitting job. Designed for ages 11-15, this class will teach you how to change diapers, understand crib safety, bottle feeding basics, pediatric first aid, Infant/Child CPR, child development, and more. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion, not a traditional CPR card. Please pack a lunch, water & snacks or you can eat at our Sierra Café or Starbucks.
