Grace Sisk, PharmD

- Hobbies: Pilates, reading, and cooking
- Favorite things to do in Nevada: Hiking, visiting Lake Tahoe, and trying new restaurants
- Why Renown? Renown's PGY1 program is clinically comprehensive and all my areas of interest are included in either the core or elective rotations. There are so many experienced pharmacists who are highly invested in promoting the learning and success of the residents here!
- Interesting/Fun Fact: I did competitive cheerleading for 10 years and am now a nationally ranked choreographer
Sierra Condie, PharmD
- Hometown: Shelley, Idaho
- Education: Idaho State University College of Pharmacy
- Project: Ketamine for Suicidality in the Emergency Department
- Professional interests: Emergency Medicine
- Hobbies: Snowboarding and scuba diving
- Favorite things to do in Nevada: Visit different alpine lakes
- Why Renown? I had a great learning experience at Renown as an APPE student and wanted to continue learning as a resident!
- Interesting/Fun Fact: My high school mascot was a potato.
Connor Lynch, PharmD
- Hometown: Either St. Albans, England or Toronto, Canada – I moved a lot as a kid
- Education: BSc in Psychology and Neuroscience at McMaster University, PharmD at St. Louis College of Pharmacy
- Project: Dose rounding of Immune globulin for Rabies
- Professional interests: Emergency Medicine, Infectious Diseases
- Hobbies: Rock climbing, Sci-fi & fantasy books, Skiing, Mountain biking
- Favorite things to do in Nevada: All the outdoor stuff! Nevada has so many beautiful mountains and lakes, and the weather is always incredible! Reno also has tons of fun free events going on every month that are always cool to check out.
- Why Renown? In addition to the beautiful location, I ranked Renown #1 during the match because it is an academic medical center with a huge catchment area, many PGY2 options, and a great culture – everyone has been warm and welcoming. I was also drawn to the fact that Reno and Renown are growing, so historically they’ve hired 80% of their residents on for full time positions after they graduate.
- Interesting/Fun Fact: Before pharmacy school I worked in a molecular biology lab, a climbing gym, and an industrial bee farm.
PGY2 Emergency Medicine
Caden Burkamper, PharmD

- Professional interests: Emergency Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Policy Development and Implementation
- Hobbies: Working out and snowboarding
- Favorite things to do in Nevada: Finding the best pizza in Reno
- Why Renown? To get a new perspective on pharmacy practice while further developing my skill and emergency medicine practice. Experiencing a new healthcare system and patient population will help to make me more well-rounded and challenge me with new opportunities. I am confident that the Emergency Medicine program will help me to achieve the growth that is needed to become a respected emergency medicine pharmacist.

Robert MacPherson, PharmD
- Hometown: Augusta, Georgia
- Education: University of Utah College of Pharmacy (PharmD, 2024)
- PG1 Residency: University of New Mexico Hospital
- Project: Real-life evaluation of Anavip® vs. CroFab® in a tertiary medical center ED.
- Professional interests: Emergency medicine with a focus on toxicology, antithrombosis, sepsis, trauma resuscitation, rapid sequence intubation, and optimizing medication access and delivery in the ED.
- Hobbies: I spend a lot of time outdoors playing disc golf, camping, and traveling. I also enjoy working on cars and hanging out with my dog, Missy.
- Favorite things to do in Nevada: Getting up to Tahoe as often as possible.
- Why Renown? Renown came highly recommended by past Idaho State students, and when I interviewed it was clear why. The emergency department is high-acuity and fast-paced but also has a really supportive and collaborative culture. It felt like the right place to learn, be challenged, and make an impact.
- Interesting/Fun Fact: I have a black belt in karate
PGY2 Infectious Diseases
Amanda Jeppesen, PharmD

- PGY1 Residence: Renown Regional Medical Center
- Project: Antimicrobial risk factors for surgical site infections in spinal fusions and laminectomies
- Professional interests: Antimicrobial stewardship, rare/opportunistic infections, oncology
- Hobbies: Disc golf, hiking, snowshoeing, open-world video games, annoying my cat with love
- Favorite things to do in Nevada: Finding interesting places in the mountains
- Why Renown? I completed my PGY1 residency through Renown and love this community. The whole department is supportive and caring, and there is a strong culture of life-long learning that I greatly appreciate.
