COVID-19 Testing

Renown Health is prepared to safely screen, diagnose and care for patients with respiratory illness, including COVID-19.   Renown is pleased to offer COVID-19 testing at select Renown Medical Group locations, by appointment only.       

Before Your Test

Evaluations for COVID-19 Symptoms

Symptoms for COVID-19 may appear 2-14 days after exposure. If you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, we are providing virtual options to help assess your symptoms:

  • Call775-982-5000 for an appointment with your Primary Care Provider.
  • Use MyChart’s Talk to a Doctor tool for Urgent Care.
  • Call our Respiratory Health Screening Line, available Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 775-982-5000.

Testing Locations

A COVID-19 lab order must be present when coming to one of the following locations for testing.

Renown Surgery Patients: Before receiving surgery at Renown Health, all patients are required to take a COVID-19 test at 850 Harvard Way, Reno, NV 89502.

  

Scheduling Your Test

Those looking to get tested may login to MyChart or call 775-982-5000 to schedule a lab appointment.

Renown Surgery Patients: Please call 775-982-3993 to schedule your pre-admit appointment along with your COVID-19 test prior to surgery.

After Your Test

Results will be released to you in MyChart. Please be patient while waiting for your results, which may take up to 72 hours.

Please stay home until you have received your test results, even if you do not have any symptoms.

If you or a loved is confirmed with COVID-19 or are staying at one of our Renown hospitals, please know that our caregivers are trained and prepared to provide the quality care you need and help you feel comfortable. What to expect when you come in for care at Renown Health locations:
  • Face masks are required for everyone
  • Everyone must complete a health screening before entering our care locations
  • Six-foot distancing in all public areas
  • Patients with COVID-19 in our hospitals receive care in designated areas
  • Renown caregivers use personal protective equipment to provide care to patients with COVID-19

Vaccinations

Renown is proud to have administered more than 80,000 dose one and dose two vaccinations, but has concluded scheduling dose one vaccinations. Our team is honored to have been a part of vaccinating our community. We encourage you to find a vaccination site near you at vaccines.gov/search.
