Position Purpose

The Project Manager will lead the process of project design through all operational phases, enabling the Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) team to work effectively and efficiently. On large and complex projects, this role will need to manage work tasks across multiple teams. This role will coordinate scopes, communication plan, contracts, budgets and schedules with project requestors and EDA staff.

 

 

 

Nature and Scope

This role can be either remote or hybrid.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large and complex project teams to successful outcomes in line with project goals and project success metrics.

• Responsible for resolving barriers, risks and issues. Proactively identify programmatic, schedule, technical, and organizational risks, and dependencies across the enterprise and within the program office, and develop mitigation plans in collaboration with customers and multiple vendors throughout the product development, technology integration, and product adoption lifecycle.

• Develop and define scope, deliverables, schedules, and fees into comprehensive proposals in collaboration with the Project Executive and other project leaders.

• Assist project design and technical leaders in delivering coordinated packages across multi-discipline/multi-phase projects.

• Utilize agile project management methodologies to ensure successful project execution.

• Develop and update project work plans, labor plans, and project schedules and team tasks regularly.

• Motivate the project team to provide their best, foster collaboration, and open communication as well as a high sense of accountability. Raising any issues to the Project Executive, as necessary.

• Plan and facilitate/delegate internal and external meetings and communications.

• Responsible for day-to-day client relations and assisting project leadership as needed.

• Influence and lead internal programs to continually improve design best practices and outcomes.

• Prepare reports for management regarding status of project and escalate issues to management as needed.

• Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.

 

Incumbent Must Possess:

• A strong knowledge of health care systems and hospitals.

• An understanding of typical projects undertaken by an Enterprise Data Analytics division that includes teams in data engineering, data analytics, and data science.

• Demonstrated strong communication skills necessary to achieve program and project goals including effective communication and documentation of customer requirements and other project deliverables, training to internal and external staff, and project communications with users and Renown Health management.

• Experience working with analytic or technical teams.

• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Master's degree and 5 or more years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years of relevant experience.

Experience:

Requires five to ten years project management, including a minimum of five years' experience in mid to large size project management. One to two years’ experience in program oversight. The candidate must possess program management, product management and/or technical leadership experience for health systems and analytic product or process development.

License(s):

Certification(s):

Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Additional license(s)/Certificates(s) may be preferred to support a specific department/entity.

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and can use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
