Study Information

Summary / Purpose

To find out if skipping regional radiation therapy is just as effective as including it in preventing breast cancer from coming back in patients with low-risk node-positive or T3N0 breast cancer.

Study Type: Interventional
Accepts Healthy Volunteers: No

Who Can Participate

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Adults 18+ years of age
  • Diagnosed with low-risk breast cancer
  • Either node-positive disease or T3N0 tumors (large tumors with no lymph node involvement)

What's Involved

Participation in the study will include:
  • Regional radiation therapy or no regional radiation therapy
  • Monitoring for recurrence-free interval over time
  • Blood and urine tests to monitor your health and treatment effects
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) to monitor heart function
  • Questionnaires
