Breast surgery at Renown Health is saving lives. Historically, Northern Nevada has had very fragmented breast cancer care, without the level of multidisciplinary integration seen at major cancer centers. Renown has taken the lead in creating a truly comprehensive breast center with two dedicated breast surgeons, breast fellowship-trained radiologists, an oncology wellness and survivorship specialist physician, and integrated specialists such as physical therapists, geneticists, nutritionists and social workers.

Clinical Trials Offer Hope

On the Horizon. As the first academic and clinical research enterprise in Nevada, Renown Health and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine partner to provide access to the region’s most advanced clinical trials. Our Office of Clinical Research supports numerous research efforts in various specialties and actively seeks new collaborations. Dozens of open clinical trials, including these, are currently underway at Renown Health.

How do I keep updated with all the new providers who join Renown Health?

Our website has a Find-a-Doc tool that allows you to find providers based on specialty or location.

What is Community Care Link and how can I use it?

The EpicCare Link portal facilitates secure communication between Renown Health and our providers. EpicCare Link is a secure web portal used to grant providers and their staff access to referrals, claims and enrollment information for their patients.

Where can I find the insurances Renown Medical Group is contracted with?

Insurance Partners

Renown Health accepts most insurances. Please note that many insurance networks operate under various names and agreements. Before scheduling your appointment or procedure, the best way to verify your insurance benefits with our providers is to call your insurance company and ask if they will cover the services you require and your patient responsibility fee obligation.

If I fax you a referral, how long does it take for you to call my patient to schedule?

Our goal is to process and call your patient within three business days; however, times can vary based on specialty. If your patient hasn’t heard from us within seven business
days, please have them call us to schedule.

For STAT referrals or urgent imaging orders, should I fax the request only, or also call to confirm it’s being processed?

STAT Specialty Referrals:
Use the standard fax number (775-982-8020) and specify STAT on the first page or email referralsdepartments@renown.org.

STAT Imaging Orders (e.g., rule out DVT):
Please fax orders to 775-982-8037, which is monitored by our scheduling team Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

We make every effort to schedule the same day or next day, based on availability. While fax is preferred (as we cannot schedule without the order), you may also call if the patient is in the office, as long as the order is faxed during the call.

Do you offer online scheduling?

Renown Health offers online scheduling for primary and pediatric care, cardiology, mammograms, sports medicine and labs.
New patients can book as guests; returning patients can log in via MyChart.
