Summary / Purpose

To find out if adding radiation therapy to immunotherapy helps people with advanced lung cancer that is PD-L1 negative live longer or respond better to treatment.

Study Type: Interventional

Accepts Healthy Volunteers: No

Who Can Participate

Eligibility Criteria:

Adults 18+ years of age
Diagnosed with stage IIIB, IIIC, or IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) that is PD-L1 negative
Cancer must have spread (advanced or metastatic)
Must be eligible for immunotherapy and radiation

What's Involved

Participation in the study will include:

Treatment with the standard care immunotherapy (nivolumab and/or ipilimumab) with or without chemotherapy, or the same treatment plus radiation therapy
CT scans, MRI, PET scans, and echocardiograms to monitor response to treatment
Blood and tissue sample collection to monitor your health and treatment effects
