Study Information

Summary / Purpose

To find out if adding radiation therapy to immunotherapy helps people with advanced lung cancer that is PD-L1 negative live longer or respond better to treatment.

Study Type: Interventional
Accepts Healthy Volunteers: No

Who Can Participate

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Adults 18+ years of age
  • Diagnosed with stage IIIB, IIIC, or IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) that is PD-L1 negative
  • Cancer must have spread (advanced or metastatic)
  • Must be eligible for immunotherapy and radiation

What's Involved

Participation in the study will include:
  • Treatment with the standard care immunotherapy (nivolumab and/or ipilimumab) with or without chemotherapy, or the same treatment plus radiation therapy
  • CT scans, MRI, PET scans, and echocardiograms to monitor response to treatment
  • Blood and tissue sample collection to monitor your health and treatment effects
  • Questionnaires
