Radiation Therapy for High-Risk Asymptomatic Bone Metastases

To find out if adding radiation therapy to usual care helps prevent bone-related complications—such as fractures, spinal cord compression, or pain—in people with asymptomatic high-risk bone metastases.

• Adults 18+ years of age
• Diagnosed with cancer that has spread to the bones
• Bone metastases are not currently causing symptoms
• Bone metastases are considered high-risk due to location (e.g., hip, shoulder, long bones, spine) and size (2 cm or larger)

• Either radiation therapy or usual care (which may include bone-strengthening medications or observation)
• Radiation may be delivered in one session or spread over up to five days
• Blood and tissue sample collection
• Questionnaires
