"Dr. Falk is northern Nevada’s first fellowship-trained urogynecology subspecialist, double board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. He has expertise in the treatment of female pelvic floor disorders, which encompass many common but infrequently-discussed conditions which significantly impact women’s quality of life. These include complex disorders such as urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, childbirth injury, genital fistulas, recurrent urinary tract infection, and bladder pain. He strongly believes in the power of destigmatizing these conditions, supporting every patient with detailed counseling, and offering treatment that is customized for each patient’s needs.
Every patient is offered comprehensive treatment options, ranging from non-invasive conservative therapies to complex reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Falk is a high-volume surgeon, and nearly all patients who opt for surgery qualify for minimally-invasive procedures, including all-vaginal surgery and laparoscopic and robotic “keyhole” surgeries, allowing faster recovery and return to function. He has a passion for providing comprehensive pelvic floor treatment to all patients regardless of age, race, ethnicity, culture, language, gender identity or sexual orientation.
Dr. Falk completed his undergraduate degree in molecular biology at the University of California, Berkeley and completed medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He returned to the United States for Ob/Gyn residency training at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and finally a three-year advanced fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.
He is also an active and published researcher, and believes that quality research is the key to improving the treatment of pelvic floor conditions for women. His study focuses on recurrent urinary tract infection and overactive bladder. Specifically, he has investigated the role that bacterial biofilms play in postmenopausal recurrent UTI and the discovery of new treatments from naturally-occurring compounds. He also studies how to improve the quality of women’s healthcare delivery, and advocates for improved and equitable access to OAB treatments. He is active nationally with the American Urogynecologic Society, and is currently on an expert panel building a clinical consensus statement for the treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria in women.
Finally, he holds several leadership roles, including as the Division Director of for Gynecologic Surgery UNR/Renown Women’s Health, an as a member of the UNR Med Faculty Council, Renown Surgeons Advisory Group and Robotic Steering Committee."

Everyone was so very friendly from the time I walked into the office. There was no wait once I was checked in. I did not have to wait to see Dr Falk, he has always been punctual, informative and caring. He has always explained everything and makes certain you understand his explanations and treatment. I would recommend Dr. Falk and the Women's Clinic to all family and friends.

He was really good and offered options for me, which were helpful. The one thing that concerned me however, was the fact that his Bio on the Renown website said he's a high volume surgeon. That might sound good to Renown and other employers, but for patients looking for an all-around euro-gynecology expert, his Bio might be better served by saying he's an "experienced surgeon" vs. a "high volume surgeon." High volume makes him sound hike he's after money instead of the sense I got from him--he's looking for the options that will provide the patient with the best results.
