Christopher Evans MD, FACS

Dr. Christopher P. Evans is a specialist in urologic oncology and Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Surgery at University of Nevada, Reno and Renown Health. He brings over 26 years of experience from the University of California, Davis, including 18 years as a Professor and Chair of Urologic Surgery. He completed his residency in Surgery and Urology at University of California, San Francisco and pursued a research and clinical fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has earned prestigious accolades, including honorary membership in the European Association of Urology—being only the ninth American to do so in its 50-year. Newsweek has recognized him as one of America's 150 best prostate surgeons in 2024. Among his other notable awards are the Edwin Beer Award from the New York Academy of Medicine, the Distinguished Alumni Award from MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Platinum Award from the European Association of Urology. Dr Evans is Past-President of the Society of Urologic Oncology and Past Chair of the American Society of Clinical Oncology Genitourinary Steering Committee. He has 247 peer reviewed publications, two textbooks and $30 million of research funding. Dr. Evans specializes in the surgical treatment of prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancers.
