Accepted Insurance Plans

Renown Health accepts most insurances. Please note that many insurance networks operate under various names and agreements. Therefore, before scheduling your appointment or procedure, the best way to verify your insurance benefits with our providers is to call your insurance company and ask if they will cover the services you require and your patient responsibility fee obligation.

Renown Health's contract with Cigna is currently in negotiation. It is our goal to reach a resolution by the termination date of November 1, 2022 so Renown Health may continue to serve the health care needs of patients with Cigna health insurance without disruption.

In order to provide adequate time for Cigna members to find in-network alternatives, please be aware of the following:

  • New patients who are Cigna members will not be scheduled for any Renown Medical Group services. This applies to all primary and specialty care services and is effective immediately.
  • Established patients who are Cigna members will continue to be scheduled for Renown Medical Group until through October 31, 2022.
    Note: Hospital Outpatient Department (HOD) appointments will continue to be scheduled until October 31, 2022.
  • For all Cigna members, hospital services, including Renown Regional Medical Center, Renown South Meadows Medical Center, Renown Children's Hospital and Renown Rehabilitation Hospital, will continue to be scheduled through October 31, 2022.
  • For all Cigna members, imaging procedures such as x-rays, mammograms, CT scans and MRIs will continue to be scheduled at Renown until October 31, 2022.

Patients insured by Cigna will need to contact Cigna at the number listed on their member identification card to find a new provider or hospital now, to ensure care after Oct. 31, 2022. If you have questions or concerns, members may contact Cigna at 1-800-997-1654. Cigna members who have concerns about this change may also contact their employer’s human resources department to discuss the situation.
