Expanding Access to Care in Northern Nevada

Renown Health and Kaiser Permanente are working together to expand access to high-quality healthcare across northern Nevada. Renown Health remains an independent, locally governed not-for-profit academic health system. As part of the collaboration, Kaiser Permanente and Hometown Health, Renown's former insurance division, have established a joint venture that provides an additional care and coverage options for northern Nevada residents under the Kaiser Permanente name.

Together, we are combining local expertise and coordinated care to provide more healthcare choices, improve access and support healthier communities.

Kaiser Permanente has not acquired Renown Health. Instead, Kaiser Permanente and Hometown Health, Renown's former insurance division, have established a joint venture that creates an additional care and coverage option for northern Nevada residents under the Kaiser Permanente name.

This partnership brings together Renown Health's trusted local network and expertise and Kaiser Permanente's proven value-based care model to improve access and deliver more convenient, affordable healthcare choices throughout the region.

Kaiser Permanente Members

Kaiser Permanente members may access Renown Hospital and specialty services based on their individual plan benefits and coverage. Starting in 2027, members enrolled in Kaiser Permanente coverage will have access to coordinated care through Kaiser Permanente and Renown Health — including primary care, specialty care, pharmacies and labs.
