Renown Health today announced the appointment of Mandi Larsen as Chief Philanthropy Officer, effective Aug. 17, 2026. A native Nevadan and experienced nonprofit executive and fundraising leader, Mandi will lead Renown Health Foundation’s philanthropic strategy and efforts to advance exceptional care, innovation and health across the region.

Mission-Driven Philanthropy

Mandi brings nearly 20 years of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through strategic fundraising, relationship development, marketing, communications and team leadership. In her new role, she will work closely with donors, community partners, Renown Health leaders, clinicians and the Foundation Board to strengthen philanthropic support and connect community generosity with opportunities to improve the health and well-being of people throughout northern Nevada.

Advancing and Expanding Access to Care

“As northern Nevada’s leading not-for-profit academic health system, philanthropy plays a vital role in helping Renown advance exceptional care, expand access to vital services and invest in the future health of our community,” said Brian Erling, MD, MBA, President and CEO of Renown Health. “Mandi is a collaborative and relationship-centered leader with a deep understanding of Nevada and a proven ability to bring people together around a shared purpose. Her experience and commitment to meaningful community impact will help strengthen Renown Health Foundation’s work and advance our mission.”

Most recently, Mandi served as Chief Development Officer at Northern Nevada HOPES, where she led fundraising, marketing and communications. During her tenure, she helped lead two capital campaigns totaling more than $40 million, expanded annual and planned giving, and positioned the organization to receive significant gifts from renowned philanthropists. She also aligned fundraising and communications strategies with organizational growth, patient impact and long-term sustainability.

“I am honored to join Renown Health Foundation and contribute to an organization that has such a meaningful and lasting impact on the people of northern Nevada,” Mandi said. “As a lifelong member of this community, I understand how important it is to have access to exceptional, compassionate care close to home. I look forward to building relationships with our donors, partners, board members, leaders and employees, and connecting their generosity and passion with opportunities that will make a meaningful difference.”

Mandi is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and has been recognized for her professional leadership and community impact. Her honors include being named a 2024 Nevada Women’s Fund Woman of Achievement, a 2023 Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network Twenty Under 40 honoree and a 2021 Association for Healthcare Philanthropy 40 Under 40 honoree.

As Chief Philanthropy Officer, Mandi will lead Renown Health Foundation’s efforts to grow philanthropic partnerships and support priorities across Renown, including patient care, clinical innovation, research, healthcare education, and programs that improve the health of the communities Renown serves
