Short Title: NRG-BN013

Enrollment Status: Recruiting

NCT #: NCT06500455

Specialty Area: Oncology

Condition Studied: Brain Metastases

Age Groups: Adult; Older Adult

Phase: III

Study Information

Summary / Purpose

To find out if giving fractionated stereotactic radiosurgery (FSRS) over three sessions is more effective than the usual single-session stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) in treating brain metastases and preventing tumor regrowth.

Study Type: Interventional
Accepts Healthy Volunteers: No

Who Can Participate

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Adults 18+ years of age
  • Diagnosed with stage IV cancer that has spread to the brain (metastatic)
  • Eligible for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) or fractionated stereotactic radiosurgery (FSRS)
  • Must have at least 1 and up to 8 total intact brain metastases

What's Involved

Participation in the study will include:
  • Radiation therapy using either stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) or fractionated stereotactic radiosurgery (FSRS)
  • CT/MRI scans to monitor tumor response
  • Questionnaires

How are wait times calculated?

Our estimated ER wait times reflect the average time from check-in to being seen by a medical professional during triage, where patients are prioritized based on the severity of their condition.
