Are You at Risk?

Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD) is a type of heart disease caused by consistent high levels of bad cholesterol (LDL-C) in the blood that lead to the buildup of plaque on the walls of the arteries. In people with ASCVD, the plaque buildup has resulted in problems related to bad cholesterol, such as:

  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Blockages within the arteries, causing chest pain

The American Heart Association and The American College of Cardiology guidelines stress the importance of lifestyle modifications to lower cardiovascular disease risk. This includes eating a heart-healthy diet, regular aerobic exercises, maintaining a desirable body weight and avoiding tobacco products.

ER Wait Times

How are wait times calculated?

Our estimated ER wait times reflect the average time from check-in to being seen by a medical professional during triage, where patients are prioritized based on the severity of their condition.
