Intensive Cardiac Rehab
Intensive Cardiac Rehab (ICR) at Renown Health is a medically supervised program designed to improve cardiovascular health after a significant heart condition or procedure. Since its inception in 2016, this program has been a pioneer in the region and a leading force on the west coast, prioritizing excellence and consistently achieving one of the highest graduation rates among all Pritikin-certified ICR programs nationwide.
Pritikin ICR
As a Pritikin-certified ICR, our comprehensive approach to cardiac rehabilitation focuses on modifiable risk factors that can impact heart disease and other chronic conditions. Unlike traditional cardiac rehab which focuses on exercise alone, our ICR Program centers around three key pillars:
- Exercise: Technician-monitored, safe cardiovascular conditioning, strength training and flexibility.
- Nutrition: Health eating insights by a registered dietician through hands-on cooking classes and educational seminars.
- Stress management: Skills developed for managing stress and achieving mental and emotional well-being.
The 12-week program consists of 36 group exercise and education sessions. Our expert team creates individualized treatment plans to provide the support heart patients need to make lasting lifestyle changes. The program is covered by Medicare and many other insurance plans for patients with approved cardiac diagnosis.
